Justin Lackey

Justin graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2009 and graduated magna cum laude with his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Alabama in 2006. He has been practicing law since 2009 at The Lackey Law Firm. Justin focuses his practice on Injury Law, Car Wrecks, Criminal Defense, DUI and Traffic, and Civil Litigation.  In his years of practice, Justin has helped his clients recover millions of dollars for their injuries.

Justin grew up in Jackson County, Alabama and graduated from Scottsboro High School in 2003. He has two sisters, Jennifer Lackey and Lauren Lackey Shankles. His sister Lauren teaches at a college in Florida and is a graduate of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa with both a BA and Master’s Degree and Jennifer practices law with Justin at The Lackey Law Firm. Justin is married to Lauren Durham Lackey and together they have twins, Isaac and Emma.

He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Jackson County Bama Club, Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Jackson County Democratic Executive Committee, and a former member of the Board of Directors of The Promenade and The Oaks Homeowners Association, Inc. where he served as President of the HOA.  He is the past president of the Jackson County Bama Club and is also a past member of the Board of Directors of the Mountain Lakes Chamber of Commerce.  He is a member of the Jackson County Shrine Club, Scottsboro Masonic Lodge, and Cahaba Shrine.  He and his wife are members of the First Baptist Church in Scottsboro.

As a student at the UA School of Law, Justin participated in Trial Advocacy for Criminal Litigation and the Criminal Defense Clinic. He received an Excellence for the Future Award in the Criminal Defense Clinic.
