|Gary graduated from the University of Alabama
School of Law in 1981 and received his B.A. in Political Science with Honors from
UA Huntsville in 1978. He has been practicing law in Alabama since 1981 and began
his practice in Scottsboro in 1982. The Lackey Law Firm has grown
under his leadership and with his focus on Divorce, Custody, DUI, Criminal Defense,
Auto Accidents, Truck Wrecks, Wrongful Death, Injury Law, Boundary Line Disputes,
Health Care Law and Civil Litigation. Gary graduated from Scottsboro High School
He has two daughters, Jennifer Lackey
and Lauren Lackey, and one son, Justin Lackey. Lauren is attending the University
of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Justin has practiced law at The Lackey Law Firm
with his dad since 2009 and Jennifer joined her father and brother in the practice
of law at The Lackey Law Firm in 2011.
Gary is a member of the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce,
past President of the Jackson County Bama Club, a member of the Alabama Criminal
Defense Lawyers Association and the Jackson County Shrine Club, and a member of
the Executive Committee of the Jackson County Bama Club.
While attending law school he was a member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity and
received American Jurisprudence Awards in the study of Evidence, Property II,
and Constitutional Law.
Justin A. Lackey
Justin graduated from the University of
Alabama School of Law in 2009 and graduated magna cum laude with his B.A. in Political
Science from the University of Alabama in 2006. He has been practicing law since
2009 at The Lackey Law Firm. Justin focuses his practice on Divorce,
Custody, Child Support, Auto Accidents, Truck Wrecks, Injury Law, Criminal Defense,
DUI and Traffic, and Civil Litigation.
Justin grew up in Jackson County, AL and graduated
from Scottsboro High School in 2003. He has two sisters, Jennifer Lackey
and Lauren Lackey. Lauren is attending the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa
and Jennifer practices law with Justin at The Lackey Law Firm. Justin is married
to Lauren Durham of Scottsboro, Alabama.
He is a member of the State Democratic Executive Committee,
the Executive Committee of the Jackson County Bama Club, Alabama Criminal Defense
Lawyers Association, and a former member of the Board of Directors of The Promenade
and The Oaks Homeowners Association, Inc. He is the past president of the Jackson
County Bama Club. Justin is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater
Jackson County Chamber of Commerce.
As a student at the UA School of Law, Justin participated in
Trial Advocacy for Criminal Litigation and the Criminal Defense Clinic. He received
an Excellence for the Future Award in the Criminal Defense Clinic.
– Jennifer graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2011
and earned her B.S. in Criminal Justice from Faulkner University in 2008. Jennifer
grew up in Jackson County, Alabama, and graduated from Scottsboro High School
Jennifer is following in the footsteps of her
father, Gary W. Lackey, being a strong advocate for the people of Jackson County,
Dekalb County and the surrounding region. Her areas of practice include Divorce,
Custody and Child Support, Criminal Defense, Products Liability and Personal Injury,
Property Disputes, DUI and Traffic Tickets, Car Wrecks, Estates and Wills, and
many others. Whatever the legal need, Jennifer’s top priority is always
to meet the needs of her clients and make a positive difference in their lives.
She has a daughter, Bailey, and a son, Lucas, both of whom
attend school in Scottsboro.
